A neoclassical building of Firostefani houses the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Center founded in 1989.

The purpose of the Conference Center is to host of social, scientific and cultural events. It has many rooms with a large capacity.

It also displayse three-dimensional photographic reproductions of the wall paintings of the pre-minoan settlement of Akrotiri in natural size. The realism of breeding permits, other than the admiration of visitors, the study by scientists without causing deterioration to the originals kept in specially designated areas. The reproductions were produced from the Petros M. Nomikos who then donated them to the Foundation of Thira.
